Gerald R. Dohoney

Ruth A. Adair, 79, of Berkey, OH, passed away January 31, 2022, at home while under hospice care. She was born at home in Sylvania Township, January 15, 1943, to parents Wilfred and Luella (Miller) Langenderfer. Ruth was a loving mother and wife with a heart of gold. She was happiest when she was cooking, and all her family was at home. Ruth’s always said, “the more the merrier,” everyone was welcome. She was a long and faithful member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 59 and a half years, Orville Adair; daughters Debbie (Bill) Artino and Luann (Joe) Steinbrecher; son Craig (Cindy) Adair; grandchildren Breanna (Alex), Cayla (Jack), Hailey, and Elizabeth; great-grandson Isaac. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter in law Charlotte “Charlie” Adair; brother Larry Langenderfer; and sister-in-law Mary Langenderfer.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, February 10th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Friday, February 11th at 11:00 AM where family and friends may gather one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
