George Leonard Kanavel

George Leonard Kanavel Jr. 78, a former resident of Sylvania, OH, and currently of Fountain Hills, AZ, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, while under hospice care. George was born in Toledo, OH, December 18, 1944, to parents George and Florence (Moore) Kanavel. He was employed as a Tax Agent with the State of Ohio Department of Taxation for more than 22 years.

George is survived by his niece by marriage, Diane Holdren. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving brother Carl E. Kanavel.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, June 1st from 11:00am until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 1:00pm. George will be entombed at Toledo Memorial Park.
