Gaye Anne Anderson

Gaye Anne Anderson, 85, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Otterbein Sunset Village, Sylvania. She was born in Toledo, OH, February 23, 1938, to parents Gaylord and Gertrude (Emahiser) Glickert. Gaye graduated from DeVilbiss High School and worked as an operator with Ohio Bell until she was married. She remained lifelong friends with her co-workers and cherished her time with her family and friends. She enjoyed raising horses, traveling with her husband in their motorhome, and spending the winters in Texas line dancing.

She is survived by her daughters, Desi (Jeff) Grohnke, Patricia (Mark) Hammons, Veronica (Art) Abruzzo, Verna Melo, and Debra (Brian) Perchalski; son, Matt (Elizabeth) Kuchers; sister, Gloria Reed; daughter-in-law, Amy Murnen; and a host of grand and great grandchildren. Gaye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morton H. Anderson; sons, Christopher Kuchers and Stephen Anderson; and brother-in-law, Wayne Estrel.

Gaye brought lots of joy to all her loved ones with her quick wit, and never left anyone wondering what she was thinking. Despite the onset of dementia in her later years, she kept her sense of humor, bringing laughter and joy to all until the very end.

Gaye’s life will be celebrated Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with service at 4:00 p.m.at the Club House at Park Place, 4704 Park Place Blvd., Sylvania, OH 43560. In lieu of gifts, Gaye’s family requests that you consider a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
