Garry Joseph Raabe

Garry Joseph Raabe, 80, of Petersburg, MI, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at his home while under hospice care. He was born April 4, 1943, to parents Francis and Lucille (Cutcher) Raabe. Garry was employed as a Tool and Die Maker with G.M. Powertrain for more than 37 years before retiring. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. Garry was an avid camper who enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife and family. He had the ability to fix anything and was always willing to help family and friends.

Garry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy (Langenderfer) Raabe; daughters, Donna Rettig, Karen (Jerry) Skiver, and Marsha (Tom) Hudson; 7 grand and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Fry and Marilyn Zorbaleeff; and brother, Mike Raabe. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Donald Rettig.

Garry’s life will be celebrated with a Memorial Mass Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Temperance, MI, where family and friends may gather one-hour prior. He will be laid to rest at the St. Anthony Cemetery, following Mass.
