Frederick "Fred" H. Miller, 87, was born in Richfield Center, OH, January 23, 1935, passed away peacefully at home Sunday January 15, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family and his care team from Ohio Living Hospice.
Fred worked a variety of jobs, played guitar in a country western band and retired from Automation Belting in 1998. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling retirement, tinkering, travelling, creating metal lawn sculptures, gardening and dancing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His 5 eldest daughters are most grateful that he kept the family together and raised them as a single parent when their mother Lois passed. They ranged in age from 1 year to 11 years at the time. He was a kind and generous person, devoted to his family and always willing to lend a hand. He’s fondly remembered as a prankster who enjoyed shocking people with his costumes and jokes. He often said, “Who has more fun than I do?”. He’ll be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Remona (Roney) of 21 years; daughters, Victoria Jennings, Denise (Tony) Ross, Constance (Mike) Schmidlin, Wendy (Mike) Hartman, Shelly (Paul) Barnaby, Audrey (John) Johnson; son Joseph Miller; stepdaughter Melody Roney; stepsons Timothy, Kevin (Monica), and Keith (Diana) Roney; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and sister, Rita (Bill) Trost. Fred was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Corbett); parents, Joseph and Frances (Langenderfer) Miller; sisters, Mary Agnes Miller, Rose Ann Truckor, Alice Neshkoff; and brothers, Orville, Richard and Norman Miller (infant); and son-in-law Grant Jennings.
