Evelyn June (Schafer) Jones

Evelyn June Jones, 96, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Flower Hospital. She was born December 11, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio to parents John and Marvel (Thompson) Schafer.

Evelyn loved spending time with her family. She was always willing to help others. Evelyn enjoyed being around water, especially lakes. She liked swimming and water skiing. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing, and bowling. 

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Delbert) Huston; son, John E. Jones; grandson, Earl Brannon III; great granddaughters, Colleen (Greg) Arndt and Jessica Brannon; great-great grandchildren, Lilly, Presley, Kensley, and Gwenivere. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, C. Edward Jones who died in 2008.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, where the funeral service will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Evelyn will be laid to rest beside Edward at Toledo Memorial Park.  Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider the charity of their choice.
