Emily Brooke Kahl, 31, of Toledo, OH passed away on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 18th, 1990 in Toledo, OH to Ray E. Kahl, Jr. and Grace M. Stammen.
Emily graduated from Springfield High School in 2008. She continued her education at the National Center for Competency Testing in West Palm Beach, FL where she received her certification as an insurance & coding specialist. Before NCCT, Emily worked at Sunrise Recovery Center as one of their top administrative counselors. Through her work as a counselor, she helped place many patients on a path to a higher quality of life. She loved her time in West Palm Beach finding the beach calming and enjoyable while walking her dog Nash. Emily loved to travel while listening to music & podcasts, playing jokes on her brothers, and caring for animals. She also enjoyed attending Ohio State football games with her dad and having beach days with her mom.
Emily is survived by her loving parents, Grace (Todd) Stammen and Ray (Janice) Kahl, Jr.; brothers, Chase and James Stammen; grandparents, Carol Kahl Eaton, Kay Stammen, Nina (Kenneth) King and Linda (Jack) Swartz; aunts, Tamara (Brian) Geer, Cindy Ramirez, Annette (Ed) Dustman. Kelly Chio and Tracey (Rick) Montgomery; uncles, Chris, Greg (Lori), Brad (Tina) Stammen; and her fur baby Nash.
Visitations will be held at the Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania, OH on Sunday, July 25th from 1:00PM until the service begins at 4:00 PM. Family and friends may gather at Reeb Funeral Home on Monday, July 26th at 12:30 PM for a procession to Resurrection Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM next to her grandfather, Jim Stammen, who will watch over his little “Taz” forever.
