Elouise Jean (Forquer) Cousino was greeted by her Lord on January 10, 2025. She was born on March 2, 1932 ,in Bucyrus, Ohio. After moving to Toledo, Elouise graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1950 and subsequently married Alfred (Sonny) Cousino on May 8, 1954. She became the proud mother of five exceptional (our words) children.
Throughout her life she was an avid gardener, seamstress, quilter, and golfer. As a homemaker she canned, froze, made jellies, and kept an accounting log of all her endeavors for each year. Using her sewing skills, Elouise was a seamstress for Modern Bridal as well as sharing those skills with several of her daughters. She also worked in the bookstore at the University of Toledo and enjoyed visits from her college-aged children while there. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi from high school and into her seventies. Elouise took up watercolor painting of flowers in her eighties and was quite good at it.
For many years she and Al enjoyed vacations with their children and grandchildren at Ohio State Parks. After retirement they became snowbirds traveling to Florida where they enjoyed golf and fishing for many years.
Elouise is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Cousino, her parents, Walter and Velma (Shutt) Forquer, and by her brother, Duane Forquer. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Dick) Willke, Matthew (Shirley) Cousino, Amy (Jim) McKeen, Beverly (John) Adkins, and Anne (Mike) White, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
