Elaine Sautter (Sautter) Shedd

Elaine Sautter Shedd, 91, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on March 4, 2018.  Elaine was born on February 25, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Ray and Florence (Lindaur) Sautter.  Elaine earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo.  During her career, she worked as a teacher, was an Assistant Admissions Director at DePauw University and was President of the School Board in Greencastle, IN.  Elaine was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority; the PEO Sisterhood; the Round Table in Bedford, IN; and was politically active with the Republican Party.  Elaine was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Greencastle and Bedford, IN.  Elaine will be fondly remembered for her special gift of reaching out to family and friends through notes, cards, and birthday wishes phone calls.  

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Clark Shedd, and siblings Robert Sautter, Jane Sautter Rohr, and Ruth Sautter King.  

She will be lovingly missed by her children, Priscilla Veeder (Christopher) and Amy Perrin (Thomas); grandchildren, Sydney Scardino (Anthony) and Hillary Veeder; great-grandchildren, Marlowe and Sloane Scardino; step-grandchildren, Christine Stocco (Mario) and Ben Perrin (Brandie); step-great-grandchildren, Anthony and Ariana Stocco; as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  

Services will be private.  She will be interred next to her husband in Toledo Memorial Gardens.
