Doris Mae Reinbolt
1929 - 2023
Doris Mae Reinbolt died peacefully on March 13, 2023, at age 93. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and dedicated her life to the service of others as the supporting wife of Reverend Donald D. Reinbolt. Born on July 21, 1929, in New Palestine, Indiana, she was a proud graduate of New Palestine High School.
Doris and her beloved husband served the Lord in Lutheran congregations in Alexandria LA, Durham NC, Jonesville IN, St. Clair MI, and Toledo OH. Doris loved singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. In her later years, she volunteered at local schools and assisted in reading programs for young children. Her final years were spent at the Genacross Lutheran Services Wolf Creek Campus in Holland, OH.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents August and Orpha Mearling, her husband Donald D. Reinbolt and brother-in-law Bart Gish. She is survived by sisters Eloise Hawkins (Joseph), Vernice Gish, daughters Sharon Appel (Paul), Elizabeth Fuller (Gerry), son Paul Reinbolt (Donna), grandchildren Jennifer Cutter (Thomas), Joel Appel (Kellene), Lauren Giere (Adam), Nathan Fuller (Beckie), Emily Baltazar (Carson), Robert Reinbolt, Jake Reinbolt and great grandchildren Claire Appel, Caitlyn Appel, Jackson Cutter, Colton Fuller, Hunter Fuller, Beckett Giere, Berkleigh Giere, and Brielle Giere.
There will be a private funeral ceremony for family members.
