It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald L. Miller who left us on Thursday May 9, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by his family. Don was born January 8, 1934, in Jersey City, New Jersey ,and grew up in Fairlawn NJ. He proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Don received his B.S. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck NJ, where he met the love of his life and his wife of 64 years Theresa “Terry” Roy.
His job with Owens Corning Fiberglass took him out of New York City to Toledo, Ohio in 1969, where he held various marketing manager positions. In 1987 he relocated with B.F. Goodrich to Rocky River, Ohio.
Upon retirement, Don and Terry moved to Bonita Bay, Florida where they spent 20 wonderful years. They enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and time spent on the beach. They returned to Ohio in 2014 to be closer to family. In Ohio he enjoyed his daily visits from his 5 grand dogs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack who died in 2003. He is survived by his wife Terry, brother, William, children. Donald (Denise) Miller, Amy Roenigk, Brian (Suzie) Miller, Linda (John) Bruce, and Lori (Ian) Thompson, and 16 grandchildren. Andrea (Brent) Schleyer, Alyssa Miller, Alex Miller, Lindsay (Tim) O’Brien, Ryan Roenigk, Olivia Miller, CJ Miller, Francie Miller, Jack Bruce, Maggie Bruce, Lizzie Bruce, Stella Bruce, Abigail Thompson, Claire Thompson, Charlie Thompson, and JJ Thompson.
