Delora Alma Schroeder

Delora Alma Schroeder was born on April 2, 1931, in Lambertville, Michigan. She was one of five children born from the union of Lawrence and May (Spalding) Smith. She was a 1949 graduate of the former Lambertville High School in Bedford Township, Michigan.

On June 19, 1949, Delora married George William Schroeder in the Lambertville Methodist Church. The couple was blessed with the birth of five children. Delora was a full-time homemaker and mother, caring for and raising their children in the home she and her husband built in 1954, and where she continued to reside until her passing.

Delora, age 92, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Toledo Hospital. Her passing was preceded by her parents; her husband in 1993; and the couple’s first-born child, Lawrence George Schroeder.

To cherish her memory, she is survived by four children, Diane (Kenneth Duval, Sr.) Schroeder, David (Sandy) Schroeder, Darlene (Jerry) Kuhr and Donna (Emmett) Seaborn; seven grandchildren, Darrell (LeAnn) Schroeder, Carrie (David) Girrell, Katie Kuhr, Paige (Randy Jones) Seaborn, Harrison (Samantha) Seaborn, Clara Seaborn and Isabel Seaborn; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors; and her two loving cats, Sunny and Willow.

In keeping with Delora’s final wishes, cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reeb Funeral Home. Inurnment of her ashes will be alongside her husband at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
