Dean E. “Bud” Jarvis, 72, of Toledo, OH, a proud member of the Penobscot American Indian Nation, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was born January 4, 1949, in Toledo, OH, to parents Calvin and Betty (Mitchell) Jarvis. Bud was employed with the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 24 years, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed boating and fishing. Bud was a staunch Dallas Cowboys football fan, and in his younger years was an accomplished bowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 53 years, Linda L. (Waldron) Jarvis; daughters, Lynn R. Jarvis and Rachel L. Leichty; son, Joseph Dean (Brandy) Jarvis; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jay Jarvis. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Dean Scott Jarvis; sister, Sharon Engle; and brother, Doug Jarvis.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. Bud will be laid to rest at Ravine Cemetery, Sylvania, OH.
