Daniel C. Briskey, 74, a longtime Whiteford Township, MI, resident passed away, Monday, June 14, 2021, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Inpatient Unit, Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, June 19, 1946, to parents Arthur and Virginia (Towsley) Briskey. Dan graduated from Whiteford High School. He was employed with the Dana Corporation for more than 30 years. Dan was proud to have served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He continued his service an additional 18 years acting as township constable and as a member of the Whiteford Township Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. Dan was a former member of the Ottawa Lake Sportsmen’s Club and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela J. (Kinsey) Briskey; daughter Bernadette (Robert Tress) O’Neal; sons Thomas (Rose) and David Briskey; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; brothers Melvin (Mary) and Donald (Lynn) Briskey; and stepson Patrick (Taia) Sutherland and special nephew James (Stephanie) Briskey. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; a baby brother; and brothers Albert and Michael Briskey.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sunday, June 20th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. where Scripture Services will begin at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at the Saint Anthony Parish, Temperance, Monday, the 21st at 11:00 AM. where family and friends may gather one-hour prior. Dan will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
