Cleo Simpson Obituary

Cleo L. Simpson, age 89, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Cleo was born April 15, 1931, in Gainesville, Georgia to Cleveland and Bensa (Young) Simpson. She was raised in Georgia until joining her father and older sister, Jane, in Toledo. Cleo has again reunited with her father and sister, completing the cycle of life. She was a 1947 graduate of Scott High School. She worked and retired from the Champion Spark Plug Company, where she assisted with the Racing Division, within the marketing department. Cleo enjoyed life and was always an optimistic person who believed; “the glass was half full and not half empty”. A thoughtful person, she was always available to help others. Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, sister and is survived by son, Darel (Danni) Simpson and best friend Frank Jennings. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
