Charlene (DeVriendt) Dickerson

Charlene Dickerson, 86, a longtime resident of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born in Toledo, OH, July 17, 1935, to parents Oscar and Viola (Jolly) DeVriendt. Charlene was employed as a bus driver with the Whiteford Agricultural School for more than 30 years before retiring. She also assisted the Whiteford Township Treasurer for many years. Charlene was a marvelous cook, an avid gardener, and an accomplished seamstress.                                                                           She is survived by her sons Bob (Priscilla), Jeff (Maria), and Kevin (Arrow) Dickerson; grandchildren Ryan, Abbey, Jason, Nicole, Austin, and Zachary; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brianna, Emma, Olivia, Rylin, Brady, and Audrey Rose; sister Jonette (Harold) Peete; and her K-9 friend and companion, Princess; Charlene was preceded in death by her parents;  loving husband Robert W. Dickerson; grandson Jonathan Dickerson; and sister Bonnie Hitts.                                                                                                                                                       Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, April 5th from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Ceremony begin at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest beside Bob at Whiteford Union Cemetery.   Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider, in lieu of flowers, tributes to Ohio Living Hospice.  Charlene was a great Mom and Grandma; she will be missed!
