It is with great sadness we announce that Cecil G. Harrison Jr, 86, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Sunday evening, October 26, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Toledo. He was born in Monclova, OH, May 4, 1939, to parents Cecil Sr. and Dorothy E. (Burghardt) Harrison, both of which preceded him in death.
Cecil was the epitome of the “jack of all trades”. He worked for Art Iron Steel Co, then as a truck driver for Williams & Company. He was a partner in Evergreen Auto Parts in Whitehouse, OH for several years, then was self-employed doing building maintenance for local area realtors, before hanging up his hammer for good.
Cecil loved being with his family and was especially proud of his grandson, Cody. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, Nascar, and classic cars. He and Ruth would spend time with family and friends at the Toledo Sylvania ELKS 53, where he was a member for several years.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 61 years, Ruth (Rising) Harrison; daughter, Denise (John) Mitchell; son, Terry (Terri) Harrison; grandson, Cody Mitchell; step-grandchildren, John (Carly) Mitchell, and Jennifer (Nick) Shamhart; step- great grandchildren , Tommy and Elle Mitchell, and Paige and Quinlyn Shamhart; sisters, Carol Craig, Paula Jean (Arthur) Peterson, and Karen Sue (Scott) Mahon; and brothers, Gary (Sue) Harrison and Marty (Loraine) Harrison and lots of nieces and nephews.
Friends may pay respect at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Monday, November 3, 2025, from 4:00pm. until 8:00pm. where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
