Carole Jean Willee passed away at the age of 93, at Wolf Creek Retirement Community. Carole was born on April 17, 1932, to Robert and Jane DeLong. She graduated from DeVillbis High School – class of 1950, and then employed by The Hilfinger Corporation for 6 years. She married Donald E Willee on September 20, 1952, and were married for 57 years, before Donald’s death in 2009. They had two children, Mark and Christopher.
Carole is survived by her sons – Mark (Christine) Willee, of Toledo, and Christopher ( Jan) Willee, of Maumee, grandsons Michael Willee, Evan (Charlotte) Willee, and great grandson Elijah, of Phoenix AZ, and step grandson David (Amy) Boehm of Toledo. She is also survived by her special cousin, Betty Lou Potter of Hudson, MI.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Donald, father Robert DeLong, mother and step-father Jane and Robert A. Campbell, and mother and father-in-law Thelma and Harold Willee.
Carole loved her family, working in her flower gardens when she was able, and her many beloved pets she raised over the many years. She was also a big baseball and football fan.
Carole requested any donations in her memory be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
