Carol A. Fackler, 87, peacefully passed away December 31, 2021, at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, Ohio. She was born June 10, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Mose and Elizabeth (Namety) Davis-Yerg, and graduated from Burnham High School, Sylvania, Ohio, School in 1952.
Carol married the love of her life, the late Gerald E. Fackler, on December 28, 1957, and lived happily together for almost 60 years, before his passing in 2016.
She deeply devoted her entire life to her family, leaving her position as secretary at DeVilbiss, Co. after the birth of her first child. Carol went on to raise six boys and is survived by sons, John F. Fackler (Stephanie), Michael E. Fackler (Lisa), Timothy J. Fackler, Gregory E. Fackler (Corey), and Christopher S. Fackler; grandchildren, Matthew, Samuel, Jacob, Christina and James Fackler; great-grandchildren, Weston and Cali Fackler; and sister, Betty-Jo (Yerg) Anthon.
Carol was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald; her second son, David C. Fackler, who both pass on in 2016; her stepfather, Joseph Yerg; sisters, Janet (Davis) Decker and Pauline (Yerg) Dinkens; and brother, James Davis.
Carol was a committed “Stay-at-Home-Mom” before the phrase existed and leaves behind nothing but good memories.
Combined services for Gerald and Carol will be held at a future time.
