Carol Ann (Davis) Fackler

Carol Ann (Davis) Fackler, 87, peacefully passed away December 31. 2021, at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, Ohio. She was born June 10, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Mose and Elizabeth (Namety) Davis-Yerg, and graduated from Burnham High School, Sylvania in 1952.

Carol married the love of her life, the late Gerald E. Fackler, on December 28, 1957, and lived happily together for almost 60 years, before his passing in 2016.

She deeply devoted her entire life to her family, leaving her position as secretary at DeVilbiss Co. after the birth of her first child. Carol went on to raise six boys and is survived by sons John F. (Stephanie), Michael E. (Lisa), Timothy J., Gregory E. (Corey), and Christopher S. Fackler; grandchildren Matthew, Samuel, Jacob, Christina, and James Fackler; great-grandchildren Weston and Cali Fackler; sister Betty Jo (Yerg) Anthon; and step-grandchildren Jeremy and Abonie.

Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald; her second son David C. Fackler, who both passed 2016; parents,  her step-father Joseph Yerg; sisters, Janet (Davis) Decker and Pauline (Yerg) Dinkens; and brother, James Davis.

Carol was a committed “stay at home Mom” before the phrase existed and leaves behind nothing but good memories.

Family and friends may gather at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Friday, February 11th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Memorial Mass will be conducted at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, February 12th at 11:00 AM.  Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com
