Candice Clark Obituary

Candy (“Grammie”) Clark, of Sylvania, OH, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 with
her loving family by her side. She was born in Monroe, MI, January 24, 1946, to parents
Robert and Bernadine Grunow.
Candy worked for Sylvania Schools for 25 years. She had a true talent for many (many)
crafts through the years and enjoyed them all, but had a true passion designing and
making her one-of-a-kind jewelry and running her own Etsy Shop, Candies64. Candy
married Jerry Clark on July 18, 1964 in Monroe, MI, and they shared 54 beautiful years
of marriage. Vacationing at the beach in Isle of Palms, being a Grammie, a Gigi to her
little peanut, Rory, a Mommy to Gracie & Sophie (but really Gracie, haha) were her
favorite things in life. She will be remembered for her many wonderful qualities, but
mostly for how she was tougher than we all knew after being tested these last five
years.
She is survived by her son, Dean (Laura) Clark; daughters, Kristen (John) Gunn and
Danielle (Chris) Martin; four grandchildren, Chelsea (Tyler) MacAdam, Hailey Clark,
Alex Clark, Caleb Gunn; great grandchild, Lorelei MacAdam; and sisters, Robin
Carrabino and Rusty Frost. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and
Bernadine Grunow; loving husband, Jerry; sister, Joann Queen; and brother, Jack
Siffer.
To know Candy was to know how to have a good time. The family of Candice Clark
would love to invite you to the back room of Tekela’s in Sylvania (her absolute favorite
place) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. to drink a margarita, share a
