Bonnie Visser passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 82 in Sylvania, Ohio. Bonnie's vibrant personality and sense of humor brought light and laughter to all who knew her.
A blind date in 1966 with Richard Visser turned into a wonderful marriage of 52 years. She was proud of their life together and often remarked on the various travels and events they experienced. For 27 years, Bonnie served as a bus driver for Sylvania Schools, where her commitment to the safety and well-being of children earned her a nomination for Educator of the Year. Bonnie was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for over 50 years, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to various charitable causes.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Ken) Saggese; son, Steve Visser; grandchildren, Hayden, Jack, and Jacob; sisters Kathi Csomos and Ginny Andrews; and beloved nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Visser; sister Elizabeth Hendrzak; and her parents, Virgil Hubert and Helen Kudlinski.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main Street, Sylvania, OH 43560. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 pm. Internment will take place at Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bonnie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, honoring her lifelong commitment to helping others.
