Bonnie Adelaide (Rowe) Henkle

Bonnie Adelaide Henkle, age 76, passed away surrounded by loving family on Saturday, July 6, 2024.  She was born June 18, 1948, in Toledo, OH to Milton and Adelaide (Gilsdorf) Rowe.  On June 27, 1970, she married Don E. Henkle, and he preceded her in death July 8, 2016.

Bonnie graduated from Sylvania High School in 1966 and went on to attend Stautzenberger Business  College.  Bonnie worked in a variety of secretarial positions; she ended her career as office manager with Brookwood Landscape for 16 years.  Bonnie was a longtime member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Toledo, OH.  She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, painting plaster crafts, listening to music, and collecting angels and gnomes.  Bonnie truly cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and babysat them often.

Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Chad (Erica) Henkle and Beth (David) Borgne; grandchildren Lucas and Olivia Henkle; Kate and Trevor Borgne; sister Lois Smith; many loving nieces and nephews; and close friends Deana Reuscher and Susanne Scott.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter Rowe, Bill Rowe, and sister, Alice Young.

The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main Street, Sylvania, OH.  Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m.  Interment will immediately follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Church of the Nazarene.  A special thank you goes out to the exceptional nursing team at Toledo Hospital Adult ICU.
