Billy Lee Helton

Billy L. Helton, 71, of South Toledo, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Kettle Island, KY, and raised by Clarence and Anna Lee Young. Billy married Linda Dominguez and they enjoyed 47 years before she passed away and together they raised 2 sons.

Billy proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam.  After the service, he worked in several positions at Toledo Public Schools and retired from NWO Development Center in 2012.

He enjoyed spending time with his sisters (which he affectionally called his “mother hens”), sons, grandchildren and his many close friends. Billy really enjoyed listening to Bob Dylan’s music.  He was a devoted Catholic.

Billy is survived by his sons, Billy Jr and Joshua (Alissa); grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Chelsea, Dylan, Olivia, Macy and Vanessa; great grandchildren, Carter, Weston, Gracelynn, Cole, Arlo and Jensen; sisters, JoAnn (Curtice) Grubbs, Sheila Burk and Mary (James) Stang. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; brother, Walter Cole Young and special dog, Baby.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
