Betty Jo Bentley (Bowles), of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 28, 2026.
Betty was born on April 17, 1940, in Mancos, Colorado, to Robert and Ethel Bowles. She was the thirteenth of fourteen children.
Betty faithfully served at First Apostolic Church, where she taught in the Sunday School department and worked as church secretary for 26 years before retiring in 2000. Her faith and love for Jesus were the foundation of her life. Betty was known for her feisty spirit, strong opinions, and unwavering devotion to her family and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman; her youngest son, Russel Allen; six brothers; and seven sisters.
Betty leaves behind her son, Christopher; her grandchildren, Brittany, Paige, and Tyler; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH., Thursday June 4, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. Donations to The Antioch Apostolic Church.
