Bettie A. Koenig, 67, of Toledo, OH, passed away after a six-year battle with cancer on Monday, February 1, 2021 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born in 1953 in Toledo, OH to Alfred and Betty (Webber) Carr, Jr.
Bettie was a 1971 graduate of Bowsher High School. After high school she started at the University of Toledo to be a nurse but then found a passion and expertise in bookkeeping. Bob and Bettie volunteered as Stranahan ushers for 15 years. Bettie also enjoyed volunteering for hospice, mobile meal deliveries, and had finished her training to be a CASA advocate for children. Bettie loved to go on cruises with Bob and for the past seven years, they loved to vacation at Lake Santeetlah in North Carolina.
Bettie is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert; children, Stefanie (Jeff) Mabrey and Benjamin Jachimiak; grandchildren, Hannah and Lauren; sister, Micci (Dave) Hoffer; brother, David (Luu) Carr; stepfather, Howard Harrod and uncle, Tom (Pat) Webber.
