Bertha “Pauline” Rodriguez age, 76, of Fayetteville, OH passed away peacefully. Tuesday July 29, 2025, at her granddaughter’s home in Toledo, OH. She was born on. June 2, 1949, in Pounding Mill, VA to parents, Clarence and Christina (Hess) VanDyke. She married Paul Rodriguez who preceded her in death in 2003.
Pauline was a proud Breast Cancer survivor, wife, mother and grandmother. She was. a long-standing member of A New Beginnings Baptist Church, Blanchester, Ohio. Pauline enjoyed her gardening and plants loved listening to Country and Gospel music. And took care of her four-legged friends Red, Winnie and Ears. She was a kind caring. And giving person who would give you the shirt off her back.
She is survived by her loving children, Sherry Piddock, Charlie (Becky) Proffitt, Frankie Proffitt, Carolyn Perkins, Rebecca Dixon, William Childress, 19 grandchildren 52 great- grandchildren and 1 great -great grandchild, siblings, Marie Billings, Shirley Jackson, Sylvia (Monroe) Asbury, Brenda Nichols, Linda Timerding, Jerry VanDyke, and many niece’s nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by, parents, husband, brother Clarence Vandyke and Princess her beloved dog. Special thanks to Libby Stuard, Sherrie Perkins, Charlie Proffitt Jr., Laura Perkins, Teresa Garcia, Jennifer (Giles) Allen and Amber Piddock for their loving care and support for Pauline.
Friends may call at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH Wednesday August 6, 2025, from 4-8:00 P.M. where funeral services will be held Thursday August 7, 2025, 11:00 A.M.
