Our beloved mother, Bernadette, has been reunited with our father and the love of her life. She died peacefully
Feb. 11, 2026, surrounded by her children at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
Bernadette was born July 18, 1934, in Sylvania, Ohio, to William and Madelyn Murd. She was a 1952 graduate of
Burnham High School. On May 7, 1955, she married Ronald Inderrieden. Together they built a life rooted in love,
faith and family. They shared 63 years of marriage before Ron’s death in 2018. Bernadette continued to carry him
close in her heart.
Early in life, Bernadette worked at The Toledo Trust Company. Her greatest and most meaningful work began
when she became a wife and mother. She devoted herself to raising her children and creating a home filled with
care, laughter and love. As life evolved, she lovingly cared for her mother and later devoted that same attention to
her grandchildren, always ready with time, patience and a steady presence.
In later years, Bernadette and Ron enjoyed traveling and camping together, creating cherished memories along
the way. They explored Germany and proudly visited 49 states, with Alaska and Arizona holding a special place
in their hearts.
Bernadette will be remembered for her quiet strength and deep love for family and friends. For 54 years, she and
Ron were part of a treasured monthly Card Club, a close-knit group of friends who rotated homes to play cards,
share laughter and build lifelong bonds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; her son-in-law, Michael Bernath; and her
brothers, William (Rita) Murd Jr., Romaine Murd, Donald Murd and Karl Murd.
She is survived by her children, Joan (John) Toland of Chandler, AZ; Mary Ann Bernath (Keith Condon) of
Swanton; Sharon (Steven) Gillespie of Lyons; Janet (Jeffery) Buehrer of Wauseon; and Thomas (Sonya)
Inderrieden of Berkey. She was a devoted grandmother to Chadwick (Corrine) Herrick, Stephanie (Adam) Rose,
Ryan (Maggie) Bernath, Jeffrey (Melanie) Herrick, Jessica (James) Putnam, Zachary (Brianne) Gillespie, Heather
(Sam) Carrisalez, Joseph Buehrer, Joshua (Kaiti) Buehrer, Jordanne (Jared) Marks, Brandon (Jennifer)
Inderrieden and Sara (Larry) Shaw. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to 27 great-grandchildren and
one great-great-granddaughter.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jerome (Donna) Murd and Francis A. Murd; her sister-in-law, Charlotte
Murd; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Assumption on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, beginning
at 10 a.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with Father Jeremy Miller officiating. A luncheon
will follow in the parish hall, with interment afterward at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Marygrove
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Richfield Township Fire Department or Holy
Trinity Catholic Parish.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care and support
provided during Bernadette’s final week. A special thank-you to Maria for her exceptional kindness.
