Barbara Ann (Zachrich) Nicely

Barbara Ann Nicely, 72, of Toledo, passed away peacefully October 6, 2024, at Toledo Hospital. Born March 24, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio she was the proud daughter of Wayne and Rita Zachrich. After graduating from Whitmer High School in 1970 she worked as an AV clerk and State funds bookkeeper at Regina Coeli, Christ the King and St. John’s for nearly 30 years making multitudes of friends along the way. Her life was filled with generosity of both her time and spirit. No one left her house without some food to take with them and no cause was too small for her to go all in on. Ask her to manage a bake sale for a charity, she would turn it into a Martha Stewart level pop-up shop. She enjoyed gardening, baking, scrap booking and piecing together genealogies for her family and any who were interested. Her granddaughters were the joys of her life, she loved being with them.

Barbara is remembered by her husband Patrick Nicely, her son Michael (Tara) Nicely, daughter Sarra (Jason) Beam and her granddaughters Piper Nicely and Elliot Beam.

She is preceded by her parents and sisters, Rita Jane Dankmer and Jeanette Louise Franke. Visitation will be held Monday October 14, at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main Street, Sylvania, Ohio 43560, from 11am through 2pm. A short service will be conducted at 2pm with a catered gathering to follow.
