Arthur John Zanella Jr. of Lakewood Ranch, FL. passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on June 25, 1948, in Ironwood, MI (Hurley, WI), Art was raised in Kenosha, WI. where he began his remarkable journey in life. He worked for his family owned construction company building homes and Snap On Tools as he began his 36 year manufacturing career at American Motors Corporation plant  in Kenosha, WI. That led him to Toledo, OH. in 1984. To the Willy’s Overland Jeep Manufacturing plant where he finished his career at The Chrysler Fiat Toledo North Assembly Plant, JEEP. Retiring in 2014.  Art’s career was distinguished by his dedication and leadership role as an Area Plant Manager.

In 1995,  Art met his soulmate Kathy Ann in Toledo, Oh. Their 31-year journey together blossomed into 29 years of marriage filled with Love, Joy and Respect for one another as they shared their wonderful life together.  Art enjoyed watching Golf, Basketball and a big fan of football w Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers being his favorite teams!  He enjoyed Rollerblading, Snow Skiing, Raquet Ball, Bowling, Fishing, Boating, Couples Dancing, Traveling and Flying. He was a private instrument Pilot and a huge love of Motorcycles BSA, & Harley Davidson.

In 2014, He fulfilled their dream by relocating to Lakewood Ranch, FL. where they continued to enjoy life together to the fullest. Art’s zest for life was evident in everything he did. Whether he was traveling, working, or simply spending time with his family, Art was known for his quick wit, funny sense of humor, and his ability to connect deeply with those around him. He cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren, always offering wisdom and meaningful conversation.

Art is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Kathy Ann Zanella, and his family: Siblings: Patricia (Tom) Miller, Marysville, OH. Jean (Jim) Popko, Kenosha, WI; Richard (Gerri) Zanella, Union Grove, WI; Terry (Carole) Zanella, Carlsbad, CA; Daughter: Gina Zanella (Casey) Arroyo, Mentor, OH;  Step-Daughters, Mindi Walton, Sylvania, OH; Bridget (Kevin) Wise, Eaton Rapids, MI. and seven adoring grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Mary F. and Arthur J. Zanella Sr., Kenosha, WI. Deceased Brother: Ronald Zanella, Milwaukee, WI. 

A Memorial Service in honor of Art’s life will be held at Reeb Funeral Home 5712 Main St. Sylvania, OH. 43560 Friday, August 30th, from 10a.m. to 12 p.m.  With a private celebration of life to follow for immediate family. Arthur John Zanella Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His funny sense of humor, love, and laughter will remain in our hearts forever.
