Mom was a daughter, sister, friend, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, but these are just the titles she had throughout her life. These are the true words to describe our mother from the ones who knew her best, thoughtful, prepared, an avid gardner, available, creative, crafty, dedicated, sassy with a sweet soul, ornery but selfless, passionate with a smile that would warm your heart, one of a kind, welcoming, lovable, gentle, unparalleled, loving, kind, warm hearted, joyful with a compassionate soul, protector, communicator, provider. She was the glue and the love that kept things together with reason and wisdom, stability for all of us kids, our everything!!!
Arletta is survived by her children, Connie Payton, Geri Grass, Joe (Beth) Wallace, Gene (Tonya) Wallace, Mike (Sue) Wallace, Ricky (Patty) Childress, Andrea (Phil) Edwards, Linda Turner, Connie Childress and Dan (Lisa) Wallace; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family only visitation is from 9am-10am and friends may attend visitation at the Reeb Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 10 am until the funeral service begins at 11 am. The family suggest donations in Arletta’s name to the Toledo Humane Society.
