Anna C. Sylvester, 96, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Lakes of Sylvania. She was born February 27, 1925, in Frackville, PA, to parents Gennaro and Mildred (Stansley) Sylvester. Anna began her career as an executive secretary with Chevrolet. She then began employment with Willys Jeep and later retired from A.P. Parts in 1988. Anna was a league bowler for decades. She enjoyed traveling and was a talented seamstress. Anna loved spending time with family. She was an excellent cook and baker who enjoyed continuing holiday food traditions.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Grace and Catherine Sylvester and Marie (Frank) Kaltenmark; brothers Arthur (Virginia) and Joseph Sylvester; nieces Gina (Utsab Chaudhuri) Sylvester, Mary Kaltenmark, Amanda Nypaver; nephew Gennaro “Gerry” Sylvester and great-great-nephew; Thomas Shope. She is survived by sister-in-law Pat Sylvester, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Friday, November 19th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, where Scripture Services will begin at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass, which will be live streamed, will be conducted at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania, Saturday, the 20th at 12:00 PM. Anna will be laid to rest with her family at the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Sylvania.
