Andrew John Abramczyk

Andrew John Abramczyk, age 61, of Swanton, OH passed away on January 23, 2026 at Flower Hospital surrounded by family.  He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Daniel Joseph and Frances Mae (Dreps) Abramczyk on July 20, 1964.  Andy met Rose M. Shriver in 1986.  They were married September 28, 1995

After graduating from Springfield High School / Penta Career Center in 1982, Andy attended Owens Community College and received his associates in auto and diesel.  Andy worked for Frische’s, Janney’s Ace Hardware, Able Equipment, Fleegers and Inverness Golf Course before opening his own small engines shop in the old Fleeger’s building on W. Bancroft St. proudly called A.J. 's Sales and Service.  Andy has always been a very motivated worker.  

Andy loved all his dogs throughout the years (Always German Shepherds), loved collecting Budweiser memorabilia, remodeling his home, helping family and friends with mechanical stuff, love for his sports cars especially his 1977 Corvette and his 2023 Dodge Challenger.  Andy’s favorite family tradition was gathering for holidays and everyone making Kielbasa with his dad’s recipe.  

Andy is survived by his devoted wife, Rose; his sons, Daniel Joseph Abramczyk and Sean Anthony (Elizabeth) Atkinson; mother, Frances Mae Abramczyk; grandson, Sean Anthony II; sisters, Suzanne Kermode’, Teresa Bettinger and Dorothy (Robert) Deitzel; sister-in-law, Lori Abramczyk; all of his nieces and nephews; and his special girls, German Shepherds, Ember and Phynix.  He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Joseph; brother, Albert “Chuck” Abramczyk; and brothers-in-law; Edwin L. Kermode’ and Steve Bettinger.

Andy was a devoted son and friend to everyone he loved.  A true Jack of all trades when someone needed him.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1pm to 5pm at Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania.  The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception, Mary Grove, 1750 North Raab Road, Swanton, OH 43558.  Interment will follow at Mary Grove Cemetery.  Celebration of life luncheon to follow, details of location to be announced at service.
