Alice M (Unruh) Hattery

Alice M Hattery, 91, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Kingston of Perrysburg. She was born January 26, 1932 , in Toledo, Ohio to Doris and Ethel (Ryan) Unruh. Alice married Donald E Hattery in 1951, who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly in 1957, leaving Alice to raise 2 young children on her own.

Alice graduated from Libby High School in 1950. She worked as a salesclerk for Montgomery Wards for many years.  Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, working in her flower garden and bird watching, especially hummingbirds.  She was a talented artist and piano player.   

Alice is survived by her children, Diane Ryan and Donald (Alice) Hattery; grandchildren, Matthew (Tara) Hattery, Stephanie (Jason) Brown, Emily (Jordan) Martin and Katie Fall; great-child, Ollie Hattery. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Betty Unruh, son-in-law, Robert Ryan and infant granddaughter Melissa Hattery.   

Visitation will be Wednesday January 17, 2024, at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00pm.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com
