She was the wittiest, sassiest, most hilarious little 4'9" woman with a big New York attitude and immense pride in her Italian heritage. According to her, if you weren't Italian, you didn't know how to cook. (Just ask the staff at the Lakes of Sylvania who tried to feed her their "Italian" food. She refused to eat it.)
She could make even the most mundane situations fun. She was cracking jokes right up until the end and could find humor in absolutely any situation—whether it was appropriate or not.
She was an amazing cook, a skilled seamstress, and she adored babies and children.
She could strike up a conversation with anyone, but if you asked her, she'd insist she was shy.
There will never be anyone else like my grandma, and according to all her grandchildren, we were incredibly lucky she was ours.
