Violet Minnie Marie (Mortiz) Nieman

Violet Minnie Marie Nieman, 94 of Toledo, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 peacefully at her daughter’s home. She was born January 27, 1924 to Charles and Ida (Brenke) Moritz.

Violet married Howard W. Nieman in 1945 and together they raised three children, Howard passed away in 2012.

She was a past member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ottawa Lake, MI. Violet drove a truck for Consolidated Mills when she was younger a job she truly enjoyed and was an avid bowler for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlene Hendricks; Kenneth Nieman; grandchildren, Michelle Wiser; Dawn and Michael Hendricks; Joshua and Jacob Fink; great grandchildren, Victoria Fields; Savanna, Lydia and Emmett Hendricks; Matthew and Zachary Fink. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, and daughter Cheryl Fink.

Friends may join the family for visitation at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11am to 1pm with the Funeral Service to follow at 1pm. Interment to follow at Riga Cemetery. Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
