Thomas Lagos, 63, died on November 16, 2018, after five months of post-cardiac surgery complications. He was born to George and Adonna Lagos on December 17, 1954, and graduated from Clay High School and the University of Toledo (BS, MBA). He worked for 20 years in various financial positions at Owens Corning and then switched to the non-profit sector, ending his career at the University of Michigan Credit Union. He loved to golf, he loved to sing, and he loved to putz in the yard.
He is survived by Freda Baum, his wife of 40 years; his siblings, Sharon Bullion, of Lake Zurich, IL, and Greg Lagos, of Fort Myers, FL; his aunt, Mary Mather, of Fort Myers; and many nieces, nephews, greats, hanai daughters, devoted friends, cousins here and in Crete, and his treasured collies. Tom never got the hole-in-one that he coveted, but he was a winner in every other way.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 19, from 3-8 PM at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main St., Sylvania. The service will be at Reeb Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 20, at 11 AM. If you want to make a donation in Tom’s memory, please consider First Tee of Lake Erie or Partners in Education.
