Stanley Edward Hunt Sr.

Stanley Edward Hunt, 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away from complications caused by a stroke on December 10, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Stanley was born August 06, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Mabel Hunt. He was a 1959 graduate from Scott High School. Upon graduation Stanley enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1960, serving at Guantanamo Bay. Stanley began his career in 1967 as a Toledo Police Department officer until his retirement in 1994. Upon retirement he enjoyed traveling and attending FAMS for U.S. Navy. He loved spending time with his family at the family lake house and just spending time outdoors. Some of his favorite memories were time spent with his son and grandchildren that he cherished and loved along with many friends. Stanley was the kind of man that would help anyone in need without a second thought. He often volunteered to help veterans and families in need.

Left to cherish Stanley’s memory his son, Stan Hunt II (Mary); grandchildren, Kyle and Piper Hunt; longtime friend, Texanna Munsey; and longtime partner and best friend from The Toledo Police Department,  Moseley “Mo” William. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Hunt. 

A special thank you goes out to the staff at Ebide Hospice of Sylvania for their amazing care and support they gave to him and his family. Funeral service will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH, Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00pm.
