Ryan J Shanly

Ryan J. Shanly, age 40, of Swanton, Ohio passed away suddenly December 21st due to a vehicle accident. Ryan was a graduate of Bedford  High School. He proudly served his country as a decorated Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corp. He was a dedicated, hard working member of the Cement Mason Local 866 Union. Ryan was a devoted father and avid U of M fan. He loved surrounding himself with family and friends. He also enjoyed time hiking, making people laugh, and helping others.   Ryan is survived by his parents, Diana Shanly (Rick Cocke), Raymond Shanly, and sister Kerry Shanly. He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughters, Kalila and Kaori Shanly, step-son, Kane Heilman, (Shannon Heilman, Mother of Children).

He will be sorely missed by his partner, Sarah Ramirez and her children, Caleb, Emma and Layne, nephews, Brandon Hook, Tyler Boerst, niece, Alyssa Boerst, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.    A celebration of life will be held for Ryan at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Ohio., Friday December 28, 2018 from 3-8pm where the service will be held Saturday, at noon. 

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been setup for his daughters, C/O UBS, 5757 Monroe St., Sylvania, Ohio 43560.
