Lois E (Kodelman) Brodbeck

Lois Elaine (Kodelman) Brodbeck, 90, of Ottawa Lake, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 with her daughters and grandson by her side. She was born March 11, 1928 in Ottawa Lake, MI to George and Anna (Gors) and married William Brodbeck on Nov. 21, 1947. 

 She was a member of Olivet Lutheran Church’s Leisure League and enjoyed traveling to fun locations. She also loved to travel with her daughters and grandson on vacations.  Her favorite destinations were Disneyworld, Hawaii, and Arizona.

Her hobbies included painting pictures and ceramics and doing many types of crafts. She and her husband enjoyed playing cards regularly with friends they had known for over 40 years. She was a fun and spunky lady that always made people laugh and smile. She was a lifelong farmer’s wife and enjoyed living in the country with her loving husband and family. Growing flowers, helping during planting season and harvest time, and swinging on the swing while spending time with her family were a few of her favorite things about living in the country. Lois also had a strong love for her faith. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Brodbeck and brother Howard Kodelman.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Luann Brodbeck, Lariane Sullivan and grandson, Justin Sullivan.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 4 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Reeb Funeral Home  Sylvania, Ohio with the funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5 at the funeral home.  Pastor Richard DuShane will be officiating. Services will conclude with interment at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
