John Joseph Jacobs, Jr.

John J. Jacobs Jr. (Bud), passed away on March 29th.  Bud was born on March 21st, 1933 to John and Mary Jacobs.  He was an extremely gifted and accomplished pianist at a young age and was very proud to be a lifelong Toledo resident of Hungarian decent.  He played professional piano at the Peristyle, Hillcrest Hotel, and accompanied numerous nationally known celebrities.  Over the last 17 years most people will remember Bud for playing piano at the Christmas tours and Tea's at the Manor House located in Wildwood Metro Park.  It is estimated that Bud taught over 2,500 people how to play piano in the Toledo area over the last 60 years.

Bud was an incredible father and grandfather who always arranged his time around the family's needs.  This included babysitting a two year old and infant twins.  He will be greatly missed.  Bud is survived by John, Melissa, Joe, Elly, and Scotty Jacobs of Highlands Ranch, CO, Melanie and Chris Beham of Redondo Beach, CA, and his longtime friend Deb Hennie.

A Memorial Service for Bud will be held at First United Methodist Church, 7000 Erie St., Sylvania, Ohio on Saturday April 1st at 11 AM.
