JoAnn Louise (Ocker) Smith

JoAnn Louise Smith, 88, of Holland, OH, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Elizabeth Scott Memorial Care Center, Maumee.

She was born May 1, 1929, in Sandusky, OH, to Alexander and Leona (Uncle) Ocker.

JoAnn Ocker married her true love Walter Smith in 1948 and enjoyed 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2004.

She was a long time and active member at Living Faith Methodist Church in Holland and was a very loving, caring, involved grandmother and great grand mother. JoAnn enjoyed cooking, along with being a talented and creative baker, loved to browse and shop mail order catalogs.

She is survived by her loving family; son, Tom (Connie) Smith Sr.; daughter, Eva Smith; grandchildren, Amy (Ed) Osinski; Tom (Sonja) Smith Jr.; great grandchildren, Katie, Abbey, Megan, Sammi, Nolan. JoAnn husband, parents, and brother preceded her in death.

Friends and family may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Thursday August 3, 2017 for a gathering from 12 to 2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm.

The family suggests tributes in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
