Janet Ann Bomer of Sylvania, 63, went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2018. Left to cherish Janet’s memory are her loving husband of 7 years Richard Bomer; children, Lisa (Daniel) Soltis, (grandchildren, Jet and Geo); James (Deborah) Misson; Ross Bomer; Cindy (Mark) Fowler; and siblings, Jean (Dennis) Thayer; James Alexander (Judy) Stewart. She was born on June 9, 1954, to Fergus and Naoma (Hovis) Stewart. Janet spent the last year and a half of her life battling severe health challenges and holding on to her faith, her family, and dear friends for love and support. She treasured the time she had with her grandsons, and strived to be grateful for the simple blessings in life. Janet was an early childhood educator and taught at Raymer for many years, gifted musician and singer, a maker, crafter, a leader, and encourager. She had a passion for children, was an all around original hippie, and promoter of peace, tolerance and love. She will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to be in her presence, learn from her, grow with her, and walk through life with her. Janet loved Spring time, her favorite of the year, and she is celebrated in the beauty that is coming to life all around us. Her fondness for animals and nature will be remembered and treasured, especially by her daughter Lisa. Janet was a native Toledoan, who attended DeVilbiss High School. She has also attended Cedar Creek Church for 19 years, where she served on a number of ministry teams. Thank you sincerely to the Grounded Bible Study at Grace United Methodist Church, where Janet spent her Thursday mornings, and a special and sincere thanks to Pastor Grace Brooks. A private service was held on April 7th, and a Life Celebration party will be held on May 19th to honor the beautiful and influential life of Janet. Praise be to Jesus for healing her body in Heaven.
