Ann Liggett, 83, went home to the Lord on her birthday, Tuesday, September 11, 2018, while under hospice care.
She was born Wednesday, September 11, 1935 in Toledo to parents Simon and Viola (Dick) Norman.
Ann began her working career as a School Bus Driver with the Springfield Local School District, where she eventually became the Director of Transportation, until retiring after 25 years of service. Shortly after retiring the Sylvania Schools needed a Transportation Director, Ann accepted the position and remained for many years. She was a long - time member, and Past President of OAPSE Local 478.
Ann is survived by her children Albert (Barb) and Randy (Cynthia) Liggett, Sandy (Chris) Westfall, Barb (Pedro) Farias, Nick (Anita) Liggett, Michael (Denise) Charles (Cecelia) and Harold (Kim) Yarnell, Jeri (John) Colvin, Ronald (Linda), and, James Hoffmann, Marie (Tim) Lundy, 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, sisters Pete Butler, Jenny Williams, Norma Kleopfer, and Marylou Boehm; and her faithful K-9 Companion Bandit. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Bill J. Liggett; and son, David Schutt. Ann and Bill raised numerous Foster Children not listed in this obituary.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Sunday September 16th from 3 – 8 PM. The Funeral Ceremony will take place Monday the 17th 11:00 A.M. at the Compelled Church, 8790 Jackman Road where Ann has been a long and active member. Pastor Nate Elarton will officiate. Ann will be laid to rest beside Bill at Toledo Memorial Park.
