On January 28, 2019, at age 84, Helen Neago went to meet the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) who preceded her in death by 25 years. Helen was raised on a farm in Wedowee, AL and was the youngest of 13. She is now reunited with the family she treasured and missed over the years. She was exceptionally creative and talented in so many ways. She was an avid gardener and landscape artist who loved to have her hands in the dirt, making her feel closer to her family roots. It was a passion she loved sharing with others, from sharing tips to sharing her unusual flower arrangements with family and friends. She had an eye for design and created beautiful surroundings wherever she lived. Helen embraced her husband's Romanian traditions and taught herself how to cook many dishes that have become special family traditions. Her daughter Carri (Bill) Maxwell and her grandchildren Riley and Alicia Maxwell will carry on all they have learned from her. She will be missed but her talents will live on in the lives she has touched. A celebration of Helen's life will be held with close friends and family. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Schepens Eye Research Institute at https://www.masseyeandear.org/online-donation-form.
