Garland DeMoss

Garland Marion DeMoss, 84, a former Toledo, OH, resident, and currently of Delray Beach, FL, where he moved after retirement, passed away April 24, 2018. Garland was born April 6, 1934 in Shelbina, MO, to parents John and Jewell (Erwin) DeMoss.

Garland served as a member of the Toledo Fire Department for more than 27 years. He was Appointed to the department December 28, 1964 and retired with the rank of Lieutenant May 23, 1991. During his tenure he served the citizens of Toledo working at Fire Stations 1,3,4,7,13,16,17,18,23, and 25.

He is survived by his sister Yvonne Rash, and brother Philip DeMoss. Garland was preceded in death by his parents and son Douglas DeMoss.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, June 7th at 6 PM, where Last Alarm Ceremonies will begin at 7 PM.
