Frances A. Manore, 91, of Riga, MI, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Ernest and Victoria (Burgard) Rowe in Dundee, MI on April 27, 1927. Frances married Bernard on December 1, 1945 and together they raised 4 children.
Frances worked many years at the former Guys Inn as a waitress/bartender in the late 50’s throughout the 60’s. She worked at Flower Hospital through the 1980’s in housekeeping. She put love into her many projects including crocheted afghan blankets, baby outfits for her family and hats for premature babies. She spent many years caring for her husband in their home.
She is survived by her children, Jackie (Joe) Labert, Lynn (David) Salenbien, Judy (Mark) Denomy and Bernie Manore; 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by husband, Bernard; sisters, Glady Dusseau and Velma Nagey and brother, Orville Rowe.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the Reeb Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00am with a visitation one-hour prior at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or ProMedica Hospice. The family is grateful they were able to work together to keep mom at home and would like to thank her son Bernie and the staff of ProMedica Hospice for their dedicated care.
