Evelyn Mary (Burger) Reed

Evelyn M. Reed, 93, of Toledo, OH, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Sunset Village. She was born November 24, 1924, in Toledo to parents John and Iva (Bancroft) Burger. Evelyn was employed for many years at the Oakdale School where she served as a Teacher’s and Bus Aid for hearing impaired children, before retiring in 1987. She was a long and active member of the Joseph W. Diehn Post Ladies Auxiliary.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Sandra D. (Larry) Kohlhorst and Linda M. (Robert) Guzzio; sons George Dennis (Joyce) and Scott R. (Ruth) Reed; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters Frances Jones and Janet Harris.  She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband George J. Reed.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Friday, August 31st from 4 – 9 PM, where Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday the 1st at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
