Emily M. Hume, 90, a former Sylvania, Ohio, resident until moving to Florida in 2013, passed away Friday, October 5th in Jupiter. She was born January 20, 1928, in Waterville, OH, to parents Ernest and Alma Holliker. Emily was a 1946 Graduate of Waterville High School.
She began employment with the Federal Fire Equipment Co. in 1990, she retired after 18 years of service.
Emily was a long and active member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church. She served on the Church Council, assisted in mailing out bulletins to the shut ins of the church, and donating her time for the Rotary Luncheons held at the church.
She is survived by her son Rev. Gregory (June) Brown of Woodward, OK; daughter Barbara Judd of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren Rev. Eric (Celia) Brown of Herscher, IL, Brian (Susan) Judd of Chelmsford, MA, and Leslie Judd of Jupiter, FL; Great-Grandsons Victor and Ambrose Brown and Isaac and Ezra Judd; and sister Loretta Marion of Phoenix, AZ. Emily was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ralph W. Brown and Edward L. Hume; and infant daughter Cheryl Brown.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Friday October 26th from 4 – 9 PM. The Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at the Epiphany Lutheran Church Saturday, the 27th at 11 AM. Emily will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
