Elsie Jeannette (Shirey) Goins

Elsie "Jeannette" Goins, 75, of Swanton, OH, passed away Friday November 8, 2019 at Regency Hospital, in Sylvania. She was born December 10, 1943 in Toledo, OH, to Robert and Roberta (Clough) Shirey. Jeanette married her sweetheart Roger "Wayne" Goins Sr. in 1960 and together they raised three children and enjoyed 59 years of marriage. She was a member of Swanton Church of The Nazarene, 315 W. Airport Hwy, Swanton, OH 43558, Jeannette was a devote Christian as proven by her devotion to be an avid Prayer Warrior. She was an awesome cook, talented at crocheting and knitting, enjoyed bird watching, had a true flare and sense for decorating the interior of her home, loved to travel in their motor home especially to Arizona, and was a proud, devoted, loving wife, mom, and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne, children, Roger Jr (Wendy), Twana (Dale) McMillan;.  and Robert (Joyce) Goins; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Jeanine (Barnard) Case; Diane (Larry) Conrad; brothers, Frank (Myra), Ralph (Pat), James (Nancy), Paul, , Phillip (Jean) Donald (Carolyn) Shirey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild and brothers, Robert and Richard Shirey. Friends may join the family for visitation at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm where the Funeral Service will begin. Interment to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider the Church's restroom renovation project.
