Derrick Lynn Willis

Derrick L. Willis, 36, of Sylvania, OH, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer Tuesday March 26, 2019 at his residence with his loving wife at his side. He was born January 3, 1983, in Toledo, OH, to Jeffrey and Lisa (Bennett) Willis. Derrick was a talented home improvement contractor and mechanic working most recently as a Building Contractor for Exterior Home Quality. He married his true love Danyel N. New in 2017. Derrick was a true nature lover and enjoyed many outdoor activities including, kayaking, camping, boating, target shooting, off roading (rock crawling) to name a few. He was a true wheeler dealer always negotiating and bartering for the best deal and loved tinkering with cars in his spare time. Derrick also loved his dogs (Harley and Bella), which were his “babies”. Left to cherish Derrick’s memory is his loving wife, Danyel N. Willis; father, Jeffrey, siblings, Deanne, Missy, Darrell (Sam Stewart), Devon (Hollie Wireman),  and Daniel Willis; in laws, Joe ( Tammy) Snyder; Tim ( Betsy) New; brother and sister in laws, Andrew (Laura) New; Valya Snyder; Victor Snyder; Michael (Shelly) Thomas; Aimee (Jason) Minges;  along with many aunts, uncles, nieces,nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa R. Bennett in 2018.  Friends may join the family for a gathering at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Sunday March 31, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm with the memorial service to begin at 4pm.
